Global Celebration of a New Dawn

A call to global citizens of Goodwill to greet the light of the sun as it rises on 22nd December 2007.

On this day, individuals, groups and organisations will gather the world over for a 24-hour global marathon of meditation and prayer events joined by an engaged and awakened network of global citizens who know that each and everyone of us, united in purpose and intention, can create the Global Mind-Shift we so urgently need to anchor positive trends and developments.

It is believed that this Mind-Shift can encourage and influence humanity to set forth on a path toward peace and sustainability in the world.

The event will be celebrated in a number of ways including:

Sunrise Meditation and Prayer to welcome the rising of the New Sun to Celebrate A New Dawn of human consciousness.
Open Meditation and Prayer to celebrate A New Dawn at any time during the day.
Global Link Teleconference to join voices from around the world, connected live by telephone and web-cast to pray for peace to prevail in every country on Earth, on December 22nd 9am USA Eastern Standard Time.

We are asking all friends of peace:

To get together, indoors or outdoors, in small groups or large, to pray and meditate intensely together for peace and goodwill as the sun rises following the shortest day of the year (Northern Hemisphere) or the longest day (Southern Hemisphere)
To light candles or bring torches, to greet the new sun as heralding a new period of growing light, bringing a new era of peace and goodwill on Earth.

To arrange a sustained, 60 minutes period of meditation or prayer, focusing on peace and harmony among people, between nations, and in the relations of humans with life in the biosphere, concluding with the three-fold repetition of a plea, prayer, or intention such as

"May peace prevail on Earth."

To arrange a 5-minute concluding ceremony during which the participants form a circle around a candle, or similar symbolic representation of Light, and hold hands in profound silence.
The 2nd Timely Transformation Event - Global Celebration of A New Dawn - on December 22nd will again be monitored and results announced at the completion of the event.
